چکیده

The HIPSE (heavy-ion phase-space exploration) model, by Lacroix et al., has been used to examine nucleon transfer during the interaction of the projectile and target [1]. The results of the HIPSE model were compared to experimental data obtained on the FAUST array (Forward Array Using Silicon Technology) for F + Ag, F + Au, Na + Au, and Ne + Au at 32 MeV/u [2]. The apparent mass change of the projectile was calculated for fully reconstructed events, in which the total detected charge was equal to the charge of the beam (∑Zdetected = Zbeam) [2]. Since neutrons were not detected, the mass change of projectile, ΔN, represents the change in the number of neutrons between the projectile and the reconstructed quasiprojectile, as shown in equation 1:

Generalized Polarizabilities of the Nucleon Studied in the Linear Sigma Model Typeset Using Revt E X 1

The generalized polarizabilities of the nucleon have been calculated in the one{loop approximation of the linear sigma model in the limit of innnite sigma mass. In particular, we have investigated the spin{independent amplitude of virtual Compton scattering oo the nucleon. The dependence of the polarizabil-ities on the momentum transfer Q has been compared with two recent model calculations. It...

Empirical Parameterization of Nucleon-Nucleon Elastic Scattering Amplitude at High Beam Momenta for Glauber Calculations and Monte Carlo Simulations

The amplitude is used in Glauber calculations of various cross sections and Monte Carlo simulations of nucleon-nucleon scatterings. Usually, the differential nucleon-nucleon elastic scattering cross sections are described by an exponential expression. Corresponding experimental data on pp interactions at |t| > 0.005 (GeV/c) and |t| ≤ 0.125 (GeV/c) have been fit. We propose formulae to approxima...

Gamow shell model and realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions

We present a new and efficient method to obtain a Gamow shell-model basis and matrix elements generated by realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions. We derive a self-consistent Hartree-Fock potential from the renormalized NLO interaction model. The corresponding Gamow one-body eigenstates are generated in a plane wave basis in order to build a Gamow shell-model set of basis states for the closed ...

Momentum Loss in Proton-Nucleus and Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions

An optical model description, based on multiple scattering theory, of longitudinal momentum loss in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions is presented. The crucial role of the imaginary component of the nucleon-nucleon transition matrix in accounting for longitudinal momentum transfer is demonstrated. Results obtained with this model are compared with Intranuclear Cascade (INC) calculat...

Low momentum nucleon-nucleon potential and shell model effective interactions

A low momentum nucleon-nucleon (NN) potential Vlow−k is derived from meson exhange potentials by integrating out the model dependent high momentum modes of VNN . The smooth and approximately unique Vlow−k is used as input for shell model calculations instead of the usual Brueckner G matrix. Such an approach eliminates the nuclear mass dependence of the input interaction one finds in the G matri...
